A seven-note scale containing both a perfect and an augmented fifth, G Augmented Heptatonic adds a raised second and major seventh to that ambiguity. Having both fifths available lets you slide between stable and augmented sounds within a single scale. A modern jazz and fusion colour over maj7 and maj7♯5 harmony.
