G♯ Leading Whole Tone is a whole tone scale with a major seventh added, so it keeps the floating, groundless quality of whole tone while gaining a leading tone that pulls toward the root. That one extra note gives it a direction the whole tone scale lacks. Useful over augmented major seventh harmony in jazz and modern composition.
