F♯ Messiaen's Mode #3

The third of Messiaen's modes of limited transposition, F♯ Messiaen's Mode #3 uses nine notes in a symmetrical pattern that repeats every major third. With so many notes it's closer to a colour field than a melodic scale. Best approached as a source of harmonic material for modern composition.
