E Minor Blues
E · G · A · B♭ · B · D
The blues scale is the E minor pentatonic with the flattened fifth — the blue note — added between the fourth and the fifth. That one extra note is what gives E Minor Blues its vocal, gritty quality, and bending into or through it is most of what blues lead guitar is made of. Simple, movable, and the most-played scale in rock and blues.
