D♯ Dorian #4

Also known as the Ukrainian Dorian or Romanian minor, D♯ Dorian #4 is Dorian with a raised fourth, and it's the fourth mode of harmonic minor. The raised fourth against the natural sixth gives it a bright, folk-inflected exoticism heard across Eastern European and klezmer music. Distinctive and surprisingly easy to use.
