A♯ Whole Tone

A♯ · B♯ · C♯♯ · D♯♯ · E♯♯ · F♯♯♯

Six notes, all a whole step apart — A♯ Whole Tone has no semitones and no perfect fifth, so it floats with no sense of gravity. Because every note is equidistant, any note can act as the root. Debussy used it for its dreamlike haze; jazz players use it over augmented and 7♯5 chords. One fingering covers the entire neck.
