A♯ Persian pairs a flat second and major third with a diminished fifth, flat sixth, and major seventh, producing two augmented seconds and a dark, ornate character. It's a staple of Middle Eastern-inflected composition and turns up in film scoring whenever a scene needs that flavour. Striking, and unmistakably non-Western.
