A♯ Messiaen's Mode #5

The fifth of Messiaen's modes of limited transposition, A♯ Messiaen's Mode #5 uses just five notes — root, flat second, fourth, raised fourth, fifth, and major seventh — clustered into a symmetrical pattern that repeats at the tritone. Written for colour rather than melody, it's a tool for modern classical composition and atmospheric writing.
